You make some excellent points Aliex, do the "torture" test bro..I hear you on the rivets, some 5200 would help strengthen and seal those revit points....Can you talk a little about the seat and distance from pedals..... I'm almost there with this Pelican kayak....

I finally ended up with a Frontier 10 last weekend. Now I just have to decide if I want a gps bow mount motor, or cheap transom motor lol.

Rivets are the deal breaker. I can look past the plastic welded sheets, but not the rivets.

Alex, knowing how this is a budget yak and knowing that Pescador addressed drive issues and fixed them, would you rather have the pilot pro 12 or the catch hd 130?

Rivets are necessary as they are the strongest way to join the hardware to the thin sheet plastic.
The thermoformed plastic used to make these boats is too thin to properly utilize screws without some sort of backing material for the screw threads to "bite" into.

Checkout the security that the Scotty well nut and screw set are, that’s how to secure items to a yak without flexing just from the top. That in turn ALWAYS FAILS!

Hey Aliex I know you are the man to ask these questions, I am looking to get a pedal drive kayak for cat fishing on major rivers like the Mississippi and Missouri, in your opinion what kayak is the best for stability and pedal drive?? Another question has to do with fish finders, in your opinion what company to go with for a fish finder for kayaks? I know you’re a busy man but any info from someone with your experience would be awesome, thanks in advance.

Great review! I did notice that the seat is in only one position. How do you feel about not being able to have a higher position for fishing once you get to a spot? Do you think there could be something modified so you can sit higher while fishing at a spot?

Most pedal yaks only has one level seating position, fim drive yaks like this the adjustments are made on the drive. You can definitely modify the seat I would add a cooler as a seat! Lol

What do you think about the plastic nubs that lock in the drive? Do you think. They will hold up long term, bc Hobie changed theirs to metal. Just want your thoughts on it.

The entire plastic frame can be replaced, the things that locked down the drive too, when you plug the drive you have to make sure the drive plugs in all the way
