I use a tether on mine as well. Its a great back up option. Does the low angle also help with reducing camera shake?

I checked and unfortunately mine (Pelican Trailblazer 100 from Dick's Sporting Goods) doesn't have those eyelets to run the vented helmet strap through. Think I'll end up using the GoPro Jaw Mount to clamp on the dashboard area. Thanks for your help!

What do you find is the best way to capture sound when filming on a kayak? I find with the water proof enclosure most sounds is blocked and any commentary that you might make is not picked up. Thanks

Super view us cool, but it is nothing really special and as I lean more about it, could total be done with a HERO3 and some tricky editing.

For fiberglass kayaks the suction cup mount is best for quick setup and diverse point of view.
