I agree Bob. When ppl are in nature, they want to hear nature sounds. It's pretty obnoxious how ppl always feel the need to put noise in there disguised as music. I had to mute it.

I am really looking forward to my GC Kayaking experience. I've been into many water sports including Wakeboarding but there's nothing in comparison to Kayaking. Keep up the great videos and maybe we'll see each other on the rapids.

I've privately rafted the canyon 3 times now (2 Dec & 1 Oct), and the next time I run it I really want to do it as a self-support kayaking trip. I need to actually learn how to paddle a WW kayak first. As I understand it the Canyon is a good place to hone one's skill, it's made me a damn good boater over the past few years.

I went down the GC on one of those "Western River Expeditions" motorized rafts and I remember seeing Kayakers going down along with us. When we stopped off at Lava Falls to look at the route we would take, I recall seeing a couple Kayakers actually walking their craft around the rapids instead of going straight through, which was kind of odd.

I gotcha. Well, we paddled about 20 miles a day to get to the camp spots we wanted to camp at. You have to look at a map and have it planned out pretty well. It's pretty easy to see the best places to get out. You can get out on most of the river actually. You just want to find the best sandbars. After the flood there are lots of great sand bars!
