The "Fishing Tips: Rick's Kayak Mods" video is part of the kayaking category, which contains similar videos like this one.
I'd think it's unlikely but then again I don't want to be out on the big blue, tip over and then wonder how I'm going to do it.
Cheers

I was wondering, how good is that kayak anchor trolley system that you have on the side of your yak?
If it was now, would you still use it exactly the way you had it when you shot this video or would you modify it or change it for another type? Pro's and Con's?
It's the only major thing I'm missing on my yak and I haven't made up my mind on which kit to buy....
I've fitted my battery inside a waterproof clear food container that has latches on all sides with two cable glands (1x fishfinder & 1x 360degree white light for low light/night fishing ) it's alot more secure than leaving those terminals exposed like you did especially if you ever tip over...

Thanks my friend.
Great Video
what would you consider the upper limit on size for a flicky 2-4 kg size rod - ive got a 7 foot rod i use for whiting/ flathead fishing on shore - is that going to be too much to handle - my yak is one of those haswing kayaks you can standup on.

I was running the Lowrance Elite 4x, but I have now upgraded to the Elite 7 HDS that features downscan and a chartplotter as well! Happy days!

I made the leashes at home mate, a very simple job it was too!

Check them out mate, or Google Cooper Anchor.
I have ventured out past the heads a few times, but not too far mate. This particular rig is best suited to estuary and impoundment fishing.
