yes, you only have to be sprinting to get the kayak out of the water. once you are out you can cruise and stay up

@mrclarinetbuddy I have heard that thinking before, I would agree with you if it were powered by a paddle, I have heard one person declare foils take flight at 10kmh, depending on the size of the foil, and great point below about having the foils angles to deflect sea weed...and the longer paddles would also be an overdrive, maybe you could have them get longer the faster you go?

@adsabine1 No You have too be sprinting full on for the hydrofoil for the hydrofoil to lift the boat out of the water. At long distances your speed is not enough to lift it

Seaweed, autumn leaf's. Make the foils swept. This is a great way to go faster with less effort. He will need longer oars to gear up in speed.
