I have been kayaking for over a year now, I believe the hobie outback is the best kayak, and will be pretty impossible for others to beat. Ok you can argue they are pricy ' but unbelievable from setup, from handling choppy seas ' that's what you pay for.

I purchased a 2016 outback from Delaware paddlesports. The kayak show up defective with small holes . I contact Delaware paddlesports. it's like pulling teeth trying to get it fix. please be aware hobie company just wants your money.

I fish of off a Predator PDL from Old Town,, the pedal drive system is one of the best I've saw out there so far... highly recommended, since I fish offshore most of the times most of my friends have Hibies kayaks, what it makes me decide not to buy this kayaks is because the drive system brakes all the times.
I have seen it in all my friends kayaks, I actually town from offshore 2 of my friends several times for the same thing, broken drives... not worth it to me for the money they ask..

I have a 2016 hobie outback and for the money you spend on a kayak you should not have to upgrade the fins and rudder also not even a couple months of use I had the mirage drive break on me in the ocean not the best quality items for the money spend more money on research and development instead of sending these guys on exspensive trips just my 2 cents

Nice Fishing video, but the same results could have happened from a $20 inner tube! I was more interested in how the Mirage Drive works, and its capabilities(Only a few seconds of the 5 minute video)
