Instead of using T pieces for your axle to run through, you can just use elbows on the bottom of the uprights.

What size Schedule 40 PVC? 3/4”, 1”? Otherwise, exactly what I needed. My 10” wheels came off a battery powered 4 wheeler I found put out for garbage. They are solid hard plastic with deep tread. Should be great for the sand and mud in Galveston Bays. I’ll be adding bungee cords for my tie downs.

great video, no nonsense, nice and simple. I chose your video as a base to my trolley, I made a few changes to suit my axle and kayak. Thanks.

Thank you SO much! My son and I knocked this out this afternoon. Got the parts at the local store and it only took 20 minutes to make! Saved money and made memories with my son! Thanks!

Bungy cords are your friend.

+Nouel Fernandez  You just place it under the kayak or canoe and the weight keeps it under the kayak. Or you could tie it to the kayak.

Dave Stone

+alderete74 Get some 5/8" threaded rod ($4 - $5 at Home Stores), 2 (or 4 your call) 5/8" flat washers and 2 5/8" stop nuts (also called aircraft nuts or nylon lock nuts).

USE 1 1/4" PVC
If you didn't put the caps on the noodle covered arm you could run a strap through it to tie down the kayak.

Recently won an Ocean Trident 13, measured the tank well drain holes on center (12") and have an old dolly I have little use for which will take care of the wheels and axle that I need to make one for my sot kayak.  If I would need the dolly again no problem, just take the wheels & axle off the home made cart and put back on the dolly.

Did you use one inch PVC? I think it would be strong enough. A bit cheaper too! Thanks for the dimensions but don't forget to confirm on your kayak. If not using Cryptic's kickstand you could use elbows on the botton and pass the axle thru the horizontal pipe. Going to try all 1 in. sched. 40 on mine with kickstand. Cheers
