How To: Do a Kayak T-Rescue
Kayak 12 years ago 32,452 views
The T-rescue is the most basic form of kayak rescue. It's also a great way to prepare yourself for rolling, because it teaches you to relax and orient yourself when you're upside down. Using the bow of your partner's boat for support, you can use your hip snap to upright your kayak. In this instructional kayaking video, instructor Ken Whiting shows you how to practice the T-rescue with a partner. Once you've mastered this paddling technique, you'll be ready to learn more advanced skills for sea kayaking and whitewater kayaking such as rolling.
