Instead of plywood for an internal frame you could try rolling up coroplast into tubes and securing with ties. Of course roll it lengthwise with the corrugation. You could also tie some foam pool noodles or pipe insulation to the outside as bumpers which will also add some buoyancy. Actually, you could probably rig up a way to slip on the noodles like a shoe so you can store them separately if you want and you don't have to poke any extra holes in the boat.

Hello! Can you stand on this kind of boat? Would it be possible to put some bench to be seated on it? I'm thinking about making a boat like that for a research project of birds nesting on the vegetation of a river, but I will need to stand to see the nests. Maybe putting some wooden floor will make it feel more sturdy... Good video, by the way!

make the front an the rear the same so you have a longer boat and a big place in the middle. you must change the measurements. I did it 2.10 meters long and for me with 1.74 cm it's big enough also I put a wooden panel inside to stand on. It was really hard to stand on it so I made the same boat, again with the front and the rear the same the only difference was that it was not as wide as the one I made before. I used this one to stabilise my boat by adding it to one side one meter away from my boat using 3 long wood sticks. then I used some fishing net between these boats, where I can lay stuff on top. do it the same and you will have a great boat for around 50$

Advertising businesses tend to stock it. it's quite cheap. per sheet its around £5 depending where you buy it. hope this helps :)
