i would rather just use a quick connect swivel and take the lures off and on when you need them

another good use is on the anchor rope. run the rope through it then through the trolley system. This way if you have to leave the anchor behind to fight a fish or what ever other reason arises you can easily get back to the anchor to retrieve it or reconnect to stay on the fish.

I made a 6" PVC BAIT TUBE 30" long and mount a pool noodle along one side to make it float.
Also,I have a couple pieces wrapped around my camera mounts for sticking wet lures onto.
Your leader idea looks great !!

Ive used pool noodles for river fishing before. cut pool noodles into 5ths of whatever you see fit. Wrap line tightly around the noodle fraction, tie tightly and allow excess line depending on the depth of the river, leave in a calm spot with worm or other live bait and check the lure whenever you'd like. I love using this for kayak camping because its easy and is surprisingly very successful.

Awesome tip. I use them all the time and wrap multiple kingfish rigs on a 6-9" piece. They fit great in a 'wet wipe' jug also...

I use pipe insulation..for me it cheaper than pool noodles and has a smaller diameter..my main use for them is to use them as a rod float in case i tip my kayak i dont lose my rods .
I also use them on my roof rack bars with a couple of cable ties to hold them in place for my kayak to sit on .
