The paddle I got for my yak has little rubber bowl looking things wrapped around the handle on both side by the actual paddle. It stopped all the water issues I had every time I brought one side up. Found mine at wally world for 20 bucks

I have the same Kayak. It’s not the most expensive Kayak out there but it’s pretty sweet honestly. The rod holders work really well and there’s plenty of storage for gear. There’s even a great spot right between your legs where the 3rd rod holder is that would accommodate a fish finder perfectly. Stability is pretty decent. I’ve stood up in mine which is a little sketchy but it can be done. Awesome man!
