Named the ‘Flex Drive’, it consists of a dagger board protected, tri-prop propeller combined with unique articulation of the prop system that gives the Flex Drive increased performance over other drives and helps keep the system clear of obstacles and easy to clean. Jackson Kayak’s Flex Drive System can quickly adapt from deep to shallow water navigation without having to move the main pedal drive unit. The Flex Drive is easily deployed with the flip of a lever, has adjustable pitch prop blades, a 12/1 ratio and an interchangeable electric motor driven head unit to be released later in 2017.

It has a transducer scupper. We have a mounting kit you can order from jacksonkayak.com that will help you easily mount many transducers out there. It was originally designed for the Raymarine Dragonfly, but it is pretty oversized so can fit many transducers out there. You can also get a transducer arm from either YakAttack or Ram Mounts that will work with the gear track, some people prefer to mount it that way to avoid the transducer rubbing or getting dragged.

When does the cruise fd come out? Wish yall would put flush mount rod holders on the cruise. I want to buy one of yalls pedal drive but not for 3k. So im looking to maybe buy a cruise fd if its stable

My only complaint is there is too much storage. Would prefer an open cockpit for fishbag and gear.

Will this hull/drive system handle white water like the HD? Do you have to remove the drive to do white water?

Same here. Preferably on the 15.5. None of the new pedal kayaks are meant for offshore, big water fishing. I demoed the Revo 16 and 13, but I never liked the mirage drive. Just not too happy with Hobie products in general. So whichever company comes up with an offshore pedal kayak with instant reverse will have my money.

My only concern is sense it's flexible that the prop system will float up while in reverse like am outboard motor, any input Jackson Pro Staffers?

love my Jackson kayak but I have reservations about this kayak. one is the flexible drive line in it. unless they have some new space age material flexible drive lines just can't take long term punishment. second is the underneath rudder system which is one of the big complaints on native kayaks. I guess time will tell. Like I said love my Jackson but I'm just not sure about this one.

Truly brilliant! Solves ALL of the other issues with current pedal driven systems such as Hobie Pro Angler, Native Propel, Perception Pilot etc. It appears to be the first pedal driven system specifically designed for river fishing and flats! Awesome! I love how Jackson stays patient when new technologies are released and find a way to take those ideas and innovation to a new level. Cannot wait to get my hands on one of these!
