Nice work! Kayak fishing is really fun. You can get to a lot of spots that big boats can't. You should try fly fishing out of one. Small poppers for bass are so much fun with a fly rod. Only tricky part is standing up.

In dirty water color doesn't matter as much, in clear use fluorocarbon line. I use fluro for underwater baits, mono for top water baits and braid for frogs and punching heavy cover.

Might need some steel leaders for those pike. If that does not work, use a 10-12 inch leader of 25-30 lb braid. Using these leaders the pike would not be able to bight through your line. When using leaders use black. I read a field and stream article that bass have a harder time seeing black leaders whether steel or braid. Just a tip.

Super clear water you should go natural colors like watermelon, 5in senko are good, swim baits and chatterbaits can work well too. One should consider deep jerkbaits, like the new kvd one that came out recently. I like the bluegill color. Jerk and pause, the bass will travel to hit it, especially in clear water.

For buzzbaits check the rivet and make sure it doesn't spin. Make sure the rivet and the buzzbait blade is flat against the rivet which will give the best the sequel. After that tie to window of car.

Hey Flair I thought I would just let you know this. When I go fishing for bass in a pond right by my house, I use these fake minnows made by HAVOC. They do catch you at least one bass or more when you go fishing. Thought I would just tell you in case you wanted to use them in a video but overall, I love the fake minnows. They move through the water like a real minnow!!! BTW your vids are awesome but I would recommend these especially that you are fishing for bass like I am.

Fantastic to see you on a Kayak, and you are super lucky to be out on a Hobie with the mirage drive pedals, super jealous. I keep my kayak on my car and my gear loaded so i'm ready to go whenever. I know its not your style but trolling two floating crankbaits can make the day alot more active, tons of fun. I don't have pike in my area but larger chain pickerel do the same thing to my lines.

If you're thinking of buying a kayak, i would definitely say get a peddaling one. He hobie pro angler is pretty much at the top. Super stable and you can stand up and fish from it. I suggest demoing them at a dealer

It was breaking from the pikes. They have sharp teeth and are very aggressive. Most people use steel leaders for them so they don't break the line.

Alright. So
I had a 6 ft 6 in medium rid with a 6.3:1
Gear ratio and 20 lb mono backing with 25 spider wire stealth braid.
I was using a 1/16 ounce spinnerbait tied with a uni knot

When I castes the line snapped at the reel. Any idea wut happened. If u need to know more to help I would be glad to dish out more info

Kayak fishing is awesome I think the more you do it the more you will like it. I got it a lot of places that I couldn't put a boat. In south west Florida is great for fishing backwater and catching redfish and snook is fun you make that one of your trips in the future. Love the videos and thanks for doing them.

Yes you can, but you loose a little power and pulling power on hookset, go with a Med Hvy spinning rod and use 30lb braid. I like 65lb power pro broad on bait casters but on spinning reels you can use 35lb, you want zero drag.

+537VIK yea sorry, that would be a step up! I don't think they do wireless compatible with go pros. You need to setup a external audio source so a mic and they sell recording devices for around 99$ on Amazon you would just need to layover the audio file in editing.

Kayak fishing is one of my favorite ways to fish in Minnesota. Except when accidentally hooking a northern, then it is not fun unless you like being pulled around the lake trying to reel it in or cut the line.
(The Pike around where I live they like to fight and pull you around. That's why I have an anchor for my kayak.)
