Been doing it since June 2018, one of the best tips ever was invest in a pedal drive kayak(Native Titan 13.5 not cheap at all but worth it)! Back pedaling to fight a fish is seamless and effortless!! Good vid I need to get some Spook lures.

I replace the hooks on all my lures. The mfg never puts quality hooks on the lure trying to save money. It costs you a lost trophy if you don’t buy quality hooks. Also if you lose a fish either sharpen or replace the hooks.

Hey Manny B! Love all your videos! I love me some skinny water bassin. Question for ya. With so much private property running a long all our great Texas rivers....it's hard to locate a public access point. Do you just make friends with property owners? If so how do you do it? Mail? Phone? In person? Also, do you feel accessing these less fished waters produce a better day of fishing (catching more/better fish) or do you feel both heavily fished and these less fished areas produce the same quality of fishing days? Thanks for reading and I look forward to your answers.

Sometimes I'm out there on the struggle bus and other days then first lure I throw is the one they want all day. Just need to keep getting better at identifying the pattern for that day and conditions.

I guess I gotta get up the gumption to start talking to strangers about letting this stranger on their property. For sure about the truck being there at the end of the float. Brothers truck got towed off the san Marcos. Totally missed the no parking signs when we parked his truck in the dark before Dawn.

Yeah either make friends with landowners or find some areas that you can tell is public and just pray your truck is there when you get back. That is always running in my head fosho.
It depends man, some times yes the fishing is way better then there are other times it isn't. You still have to figure out what they want bc if they're use to see nothing but real food and not many lures. They will knew something ain't right about you're bait if it's too weird. It's usually the day, weather and all that all jazz plays a major roll on how they bite. A lot of ppl think catching these bigger fish are just so easy bc it isn't pressured like their lake. But once they get to a certain size they don't bite fun.

Tbh it all really depends how much you're willing to spend and how heavy of baits you're trying to throw. It all must be right or you'll either break a rod, reel or even strain a muscle from not having the right gear
