What do you do if your boat is 95lbs, you are in your late 40's, and have arthritis? Should I maybe just get a trailer? Right now I use foam blocks but the boat is so heavy to lift that far.

Kayak is 95 pounds? Time to get a new boat buddy! lol My kayak is only 45 pounds. If you really are having that much trouble perhaps you should even check out some inflatable rafts. They make very durable inflatable rafts for about 600-800 and up. Though, if you have arthritis that bad, I don't see how hours of paddling are going to make you feel all that great. Either way, I know I see you bought a trailer by your other comment, but I hope things worked out for you.

Derrick, a trailer is a great option, there are also load assist options for heavier boats. The easier you make it on yourself, the more you will use the boat and lessen the risk of injury.

Nick, Thanks for watching our video. Unfortunately just putting the straps in the rear is not likely enough distribution of the weight and force to safely hold the boat on the car. What type and size of boat are you loading? If you're close by stop on in and lets take a look together to figure out a safe solution.

Thanks for the video! Got a question though: My car doesn't have a roof rack system, so I'm using the foam blocks by themselves... normally not a problem, but the only way to strap it to my vehicle is to open both doors, and pass the straps through the car on both back and front doors. The strap on the front interferes with my head clearance. What do you suggest I do instead? Would having both straps in the rear be efficient enough?
