they do migrate up in warm weather but they are not resident... they can't handle water much under 70 degrees

Good video. Your experience hooking up up-tide of the bridge gave me food for thought: since current will drive the bait and the predators under the bridge in a few minutes, I am thinking you just cruise under the bridge and wait for them down-tide after the bridge and so avoid the bridge piling hassles to you and any fish you hook. Does that work. Of course, the bait could fight against the current, but I don't think that is the way to bet. thoughts?

in texas you have to have a life vest in the yak in an easy to reach spot... also a whistle... not manditory to have it on... i i don't were it on the flats (2' deep)...

Is it just me or does a gas motor on a kayak kinda put them in a class that should be not really considered a kayak for a "kayak" fishing tournament? It's like having a bicycle race where one or two people bring those motorized hub bicycles to the race. IMO takes a bit of the fun out of it for others because there's no doubt they have further reach than anyone else. A bit unfair don't you think? Might as well let all boats in the tournament if thats acceptable...

How did you like that hobie pa 12 Ty? I bought that very same color yak late last year. Been out in luces bayou in it. New to kayaking and ready to hit lake houston and the bay marsh areas I can this year. Im going to jugline from it in the lake. Love your videos man. Your Native Watercraft Mariner would have been worth it's weight in gold when you were in that school of jacks and got cut off because you had to go under the bridge. You could have paddled backwards and kept him off those pilings with the Native. Why don't you use it any more? Great show btw! Thanks for keeping me entertained :)

yea... had trouble on btb trip where it sucked in grass over and over .. i had to paddle it back.. sucked in line as well... wont work on flats ither cuz it sticks down so low....
i like the hobies.. ither the outback or PA

she puts two square boat cushions under her and one behind her. on the 30milesOut Facebook page a guy (Tim Bolduc) posted some pics of his seat that he tweaked on his outback using a stadium seat. check it out... pretty good modification.
