TWO EPISODES FOR A KAYAK LEASH?!
I went to the DOLLAR TREE and bought a dog leash!
Actually, I bought 5 to leash my rods, grippers, pliers...etc.
Oh yeah and they matched my KAYAK!

This is a neat demo, but I was mystified for the longest time because my velcro wouldn't do what yours does. FINALLY I learned there's two kinds of velcro. You might say in your sidebar, "Be sure to use STICKY BACK velcro." Otherwise it's a great little video.

I have been using them in salt water conditions for years, and they have never come loose. It probably depends on the quality of the veklcro tape.

John - Just finished this. I used a coiled phone cord too, but found that it was a bit slick and cable ties didn't hold well. Remedy was to use a piece of duct tape first under the cable ties. Definitely holds tight now. Thanks many. Keep those great ideas coming.

You can use the same technique with the phone cord too. For a rod leash, the coiled phone cord will keep it out of the way when not in use. Thanks Don!
