Very helpful video. However there is one critical point that is omitted, and that is done incorrectly in the demonstration at 1:55: When you push yourself out of the kayak, you must hold onto the boat. In the demo, this guy lets himself drift away from his boat. That may be ok in a pool, but out on the water you do not want to get separated from your boat! (or your paddle).

He demonstrates and explains you need to push with hands from the kayak. But sometimes you cannot do this, as the buoyancy from he life vest will do their trick already and there is no need to assist much.

I drilled a hold into a "Golf Ball" then inserted a piece of rope into the golf ball. I then attached the corded golf ball to the
front of the "spray skirt", thus when "capsized" I would then PULL on the golf ball which easily released the spray skirt.
But, in all the years of my kayaking, I have NEVER capsized, this never ever having to do a "wet exit!"..
