You cannot adjust position side to side or just angle the nose of your kayak differently without moving forward with a pedal kayak. What he said about never having to pick up a paddle to change positions is wrong.

a lot of great pricing online, figure out what will fit your needs, & build up your piggybank, Hobie's kayaks are on the xpensive side, ... so research all of the different manufacturers for a kayak that will justify your hard earned $$$$.$$, ... that will fit your needs, & personality, ... then pimp it out the way you want it, ... do your homework, & you will be rewarded thusly, ...

Hobie is great I got a revolution 13 all pimped out but they aren't great when going out in surf cause they have a wider body then some the other paddling kayaks. I've But not everyone goes out offshore with hobies..

I like the whole pedal system and I rented kayak once on a private lake but when I went to the retail store for a price inquiry on one, boy they cost an arm and a leg... Nothing wrong with traditional paddling though!

@tcabner The pads that I am using are pool noodles. I got them at a pool supply store. @bassyaker I used the Krylon Plasticote paint and painted over stickers and sticks and bushes in the yard to make the camo.

Oddball question, but what sort of pads does he have on that truck rack? I have a rack on mine that is 2" in diameter, so it's hard to find any sort of padding for it and I'm afraid I'm going to leave permanent dents and dings in my boats if I haul them for very long on just the crossbars.
