Rule of thumb, if you go kayak fishing in the ocean then always go with a buddy and have a radio and wetsuit on (along with a pfd).
Oh yeah, also get a fishfinder with GPS.
You can get thrown off a kayak btw even by wind. It depends on how narrow or how wide (stable) the kayak is. Once south of Big Sur, I almost got pushed off by pretty violent wind that turned on like someone flipped a switch. I also nearly capsized once when I got almost got caught in the whirlpool of water created by the swells near the rocks. So yeah, you are not always safe in a kayak.

A safety note though ... using an anchor on a kayak in the ocean is a disaster waiting to happen. It seems like a good idea but is unfortunately a really good way to potentially get swamped or rolled. Instead, just position yourself strategically and let yourself drift over the area that you want to fish. Gotta keep you safe so that these entertaining videos keep coming out !
