Jason Schwend - 8 years ago

Good fishing out there. Out there all the time.

Wm S - 8 years ago

I saw another review that showed the deck flexing when standing in front of the seat. Have you seen this and if so what are your thoughts? I was ready to pull the trigger on this kayak until I saw the review with the deck flexing as much as it was. Thanks!

Wm S - 8 years ago

Info on the pads for the front hatch cover please. Did you have to stencil and cut or did you purchase them precut and if so where did you purchase from? Thanks!

Tom Harries - 8 years ago

Tom Harries - 8 years ago

thats 1800 british uk pounds. bargain for that price. Thanks

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Tom Harries I would say around 2200 to 2500

RJ&JR RAILS g scale Solenske - 8 years ago

Awsome yak ,ive been looking to get something like your yak,i have a 18ft cc made fisher but unfortunately it has sat for a few years. Ive been thinking about selling all of trailor outboards etc to try something like this . I honestly think i would get more use out of the yak then the boat. That said how much is your setup if you don't mind me asking, also any advice you could give would be appreciated, tight lines thks

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

RJ&JR RAILS g scale Solenske the kayak was 1600 minus everything that I put on it. They also have the 120 which is 2 feet shorter.

Efrain Ramirez - 8 years ago

All you need is some portable solar panels to recharge your batteries and you'll never have to leave the water.

Dillion Heideman - 8 years ago

Any old fishing poles for a young beginner fisher? KayakAdventures210

Dillion Heideman - 8 years ago

Okay let me know! Any time

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Dillion Heideman not sure at the moment have to go look around and see what I have

Kyle Brumagim - 8 years ago

How much did that setup cost

Dont Horn That Fish - 8 years ago

Besides the cost of the yak the rest of the setup probably would run you around another $1,000. There are cheaper options for yaks but you do get what you pay for when it comes to a solid platform to fish from.

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Kyle Brumagim the kayak by itself is about 1600

Brandon Lee - 8 years ago

Nice setup! I'm looking for a bag to go on the back of my seat just like that one. What is it called? And where can I buy one?

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Brandon Lee I bought it on Amazon it's a chinook bag

Hobie One - 8 years ago

I use yak grips on my Atak 14 handles. Just unscrew handles and slide on a set of yak grips, very comfortable and durable.

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Hobie One nice I will have to give it a try

Cj Jackson - 8 years ago

How long is it?

Cj Jackson - 8 years ago

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing how wide?

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Cj Jackson 14ft

Oscar Marfori - 8 years ago

How heavy is that kayak now after all those modifications

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Oscar Marfori it's not that heavy at all the heaviest thing is the yakattack box on the back with my tackle

Brock M - 8 years ago

Is it difficult to to manuver on the kayak or can you easily acsess all areas of the boat?

Benjamin Smith - 8 years ago

Have you ever capsized? Either accidentally or on purpose? I can't imagine the yard sale if you do. I would test it for sure to make sure you can flip that beast back over.

Brock M - 8 years ago

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing Thanks!

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Brock M I have no problems at all. The kayak is very stable and makes it easy to move around

How much is this kayak?

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

james ainsworth 1600

Scott Bennett - 8 years ago

Nice setup! Thanks for sharing! You gave me some good ideas for my Tarpon 160.

Dont Horn That Fish - 8 years ago

As long as your tarpon has the track rails you can set it up towards what you are going to be doing. I only had to cut my 120 for rod holders and used the tracks for the rest.

Kayak RodNReel VA Fishing - 8 years ago

Scott Bennett thanks and glad I could help!

Andre Chaltsev - 8 years ago

So much crap on it. No need to have even 30% of these silly compartments and gear. Hard to imagine the weight of this

James Ireland - 8 years ago

You obviously have no idea what your talking about troll

Ol Bu - 8 years ago

Your comment reminded of a funny russian poem about fisherman.

For the fishing Fishermen began to gather. He took the fishing rod, To catch fish, He took a raincoat To take cover, Took samovar, To boil tea. He took the bed, To sleep on the bed. He took a carpet, To sunbathe on it. He took firewood, So that he should not look for them. He took the suitcase - Why not take it? He took kerosene, towel, loofah, Books, Magazines, Rocking chair, Lamp, Shotgun, Boots, Blanket. He took a dog, To protect everything. Exactly two thousand Necessary things He began to pack In his boat. The boat swung, and scooped Water, rolled over And drowned in a moment. Exactly a week later From the river Things were pulled out by the Fishermen. And they said; - Listen, eccentric, You're anything , But not a fisherman. After all, for good For a fisherman A fishing rod is only needed And a river!

Google translated.

Do you have a video on how you made the wheel trolly or whatever it’s called to haul the kayak on land from vehicle to water? Thx for sharing!!

Mike M - 8 years ago

Please do make a video of the cart you've made. I've seen some nice ones made with pvc, but I'd like to explore the aluminum option. Thanks!
PS I enjoyed seeing your kayak layout. Keep on passing on the tips.
