Does it have a drain plug?

Yes it does. One that actually screws in and not just a rubber stopper. Much easier to get in and out than a rubber plug.

I am very pleased with it. It does feel a little more tippy compared to the Aruba 10, but it is a really nice kayak for the money.

my friend took me kayaking with lancer 6 times ....... fell in love with being on the water kayaking ......i went and bought my own....
big box store sale 150.00 only thing i would like is a sun canopy so i won't fry on the Arizona sun..... any ideas welcome....

They are a pretty nice kayak for the money. I have never seen a canopy for one, but I am sure it could be made really easy. I am thinking you could mount a gold umbrella someway. Thanks for watching!

Ok... I got to try one so I’ll review it for you..
It’s not nearly as good as an Aruba.. the only positive is the seat,,,it’s heavy, doesn’t track as well and sit high in the water.. not a terrible kayak unless you Saturday in an Aruba 10 first..
Water comes in at dash.. rear cover doesn’t have a seal..
yes the rear is open.. every thing gets wet..

traded it in for a Trek 10 and couldnt be happier.. Trek 10 is an orange Aruba 10

I bought one of these last month just to try kayaking and see if I liked it. Before this I loved my canoes. For my first kayak, I realy like it but I do see myself outgrowing it. Im a size 11 shoe, and I wish the foot rests were a little bigger. The paddle is junk for anything other than a easy float. I have not had it on a river yet as Im still getting used to it. For size referance, Im 6ft, 250lbs. Other then the tiny foot pegs Im comfortable enough I can be on the water all day long. One thing I absolutely love about it os how much lighter it is compared to my 16ft canoe!

I have had a Sundolphin Aruba 10 for a few years now, and I just picked up one of these last night. So far I am impressed by the quality, and I like that it comes with the additional features you talked about, plus it came with a paddle.

Yes it is much better! Way more comfortable and tracks better too. It is a little heavier than the Sundolphin though.`

I got my Lancer 100 flipped it and it bogged it down I couldn't reenter her because of the water starting to flounder her so I had to flip it back upside down to keep the hule above the water and swim it to shore the tracking on it was terrible

Looking forward to your stability test. I just looked it up and see it weighs 48 lbs. which makes me think the hull must be pretty sturdy.

I was hoping to do some paddling this weekend, but the snow has been falling and winter refuses to give up this spring for some reason. It does seem to be very sturdy for an HDPE kayak. I really am impressed with it so far. Hopefully it will warm up here soon and I can get it out on the water. Thanks for watching!

I prefer the sit in kayaks myself, but that's me. As far as staying drier I am really not sure about. because once the water gets in a sit in kayak, its there till you drain it out. The sit on kayaks you may get splashed a little more, but they don't seem to hold water too bad. Plus you are in the open air. which would help you to dry quicker. Thanks for watching Scott!
