also there's another way to weld it. l could do it little to no plastic. so it won't have to be a lump on your yak. bevel it with a Dremel.

thanks for the info. my kayak is kept 20ft higher than my archery target and a guy I let shoot there put an arrow clear through my kayak. I'll give your idea a test drive.hope it works, the hole goes from bottom on an angle.

I'm assuming your referring to the big plastic drums. Yes you can, just check to see what type of plastic it is first. Should be on the bottom of the barrel. If it's HDPE, use the same plastic to make the repair and it will work fine. Thanks.

Absolutely! I've done it several times on my wife's yak. Just take your time and don't overheat your yak and deform it.

Great video, i used harbor fright plastic welder for my hobie pa repair, secure it with under patch and above patch, over engineer it so you can resale it,when time comes..baddasss ...

Another very helpful video buddy. I fixed a hole in an old canoe I had and used same method but with a putty knife. It worked like a charm. Thanks for sharing this helpful tip to the kayak/canoe community.
