Be quiet you who are discussing who is Latvian and who is more Russian. I live in Latvia and I know what really happens here. We are more or less all mixed. There is no "pure" Latvians left. Lithuanians, Polish, Russians, Ukrainian, Tatar, and more and more! Because of the Soviet Union there is more people with Russian names and last names than Latvian. Not All of them are Russian. I am totally mixed over! Jewish, German, Swedish, Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian blood. Her last name was Grosvalde. That is not a Russian last name, but name is. So, I would consider her a Latvian. By face structure I would say not.

Absolutely!!! I mean about her being Russian!!! I live in Brooklyn and there are THOUSAND of RUSSIANS. As a matter if fact, the Russian girls were PROSTITUTES. They are almost always the same. I was in jail with this girl. She was very nice, everyday she said good morning and asked me how I was and everything but it was one of those creepy nice type of things. She always gave me the creeps every time she spoke to me I don't know if it was because I knew what she did or if it was intuition. She was very quiet, she spent most of her time in her cell or in free time she would hang out with one or two people walking around the yard talking. She also did yoga in the yard a lot, and she like to color she was actually really good at coloring. She was really nice, I sat and talked with her a lot towards the end of my stay. I think she did it, and that was the general consensus of the other women there, except for her couple close friends. She never talked about her case though, I just got that vibe of overly nice but actually psycho type girl. ill never forget the feeling she gave me when she said "hi Molly!"

I've never heard a worse 911 call in my life. She sounds like she is rehearsing her lines in a robotic way. There was zero emotion in her voice, no panic, no concern just empty, cold and factual. Knowing people deal with things like this differently but it's normally going in the direction of pure panic and unable to think straight to give that many details. She's one evil woman.. Why not just leave instead of killing him? Now two families are forever changed and suffer loss they can never repair. Selfish people like her should not get to keep their lives, sitting in jail losing their freedom isn't good enough . they get 3 meals a day, a bed, comforts such as jobs, sports, education while their victims are either 6 foot under or a heal of ashes, no longer able to fulfill their lives and robbed the families of their loved one.

Theres a lot of people who lump Latvia in with Russia because it was once all the Soviet Union. Shes older and was possibly around when it was the Soviet union. That might be why the mother is generalizing. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's just because of "American ignorance". Also maybe someone else told her that her son's significant other was Russian and she didnt want to dig deeper into the woman who possibly killed her son(as its probably too painful)?
