MManv84, The QuikSail is designed for downwind use only, so quick deployment is important. After padding upwind, you just open the sail, clip the rope in and place the stands on the floor and brace with your feet. It is quite natural and comfortable. The problem with securing the sail into an inflatable footrest is that it would slow deployment. And once you're done with your downwind leg you want to stow the sail quickly and go back to paddling, which is very easy with the current design.

Is the sail only "mounted" to the kayak at the base only my a combination of pressure from your feet & friction? The entire thing is just two aluminum poles swivelling at one point, a piece of plastic that slips over, and a rope? I have both 385ft and 465ft & they are good. But this seems "hacky" for an OEM product. I've seen DIY more sophisticated. Seems to me at VERY least there should be included a version of your inflatable footrest w/ holes for the opening to keep the sail in place?

LuckyAmbrose, how did you faster the sail to your Innova? It is important to clip the included strap to the kayak to keep the sail in place.

Didn't work on my Innova Hellios or Solar Kayak. It kept slipping and falling on me. No fun there. A very disappointing product with no customer service support.
