I'm looking at a 2018 pro angler 12 for $2500. It is a huge purchase for someone like me. I know the pro angler is a perfect kayak for me, i just wanted to know what to look at on the kayak to make sure it is in good condition. Thanks for the video.

Hi Matt, to start with, make sure they kayak has been well looked after, that the owner has cared about his kayak. Check for minimal moisture within the hull. The mirage drive is tight, the masts are straight and is smooth in it's operation. Accessories that are fitted to the kayak suit your style of fishing.
Also how the kayak is stored will give a good indication of the kayak being looked after. Hope this helps. David

I wouldn’t buy a new Hobie let alone a second hand one......... the hulls are prone to cracking around the drive mechanism...... fact !!

Hi Craig, yes it did occur occasionally when the drive was not fitted correctly and most customers had their warranty protection which Hobie honored in good faith. David
