PVC too heavy, use plastic cans is lighter, there are videos with bottles of coca cola and it floats a lot more, the flotation is the lightness

if you have the PVC for free this beats nothing. I like the pinched ends Idea especially.

if you add full size pvc to match main supports then you will have way better floatation on back end

no problem. you can also use 2x2 instead of 2x4 it will take some weight off.. or use a plywood floor and 2x2 for support and wont have to use as much wood and it will weight half of what it does now.

+chud327 so I am a big guy with a 1436..could I put 2 8in or 10 in PVC on the side of my boat and let around 2ft of the pipe stick out the back would that help support my weight
