To whomever that this refers to, most of the races on Top Gear aren't staged. What do you want? A live action race while they're filming? They did the race already and the one you're watching is a edited version, because, of course they can't show you the whole thing(unless you purchase the unedited version). And Hammond crashing into the ice isn't staged. He just lost control of the car.

Ryan Brown depends on time of year. And based on the volcanic ash, that's absolutely Iceland. Greenland has solid ice sheets but Iceland is a volcanic island with massively variable topography. In the winter it's covered in ice which is how it got its name

Sorry, massari4u, joystickjedi is right. (Hans Zimmer did Gladiator and at least the latest Pirates, though, so there's some connection.)

The easiest place to tell is to jump to 5:34 in this video, and compare to the iTunes preview for the track, "He's a Pirate", which is the first one that comes up in the iTunes Store when I search for "pirates of the caribbean". It's on the first film soundtrack, by Klaus Badelt.

The theme is used throughout the series, though, so you'll find it on other PotC tracks, too. I know Zimmer used it in his work in the last soundtrack -- which I especially love because it had Rodrigo y Gabriela.

I haven't seen Gladiator, but I don't find any similarities listening to the soundtrack preview clips. There could be some, though; movies of the same genre often have similar-sounding music. And the trailers for the films often use music from other films, so the Pirates theme could be used on a Gladiator trailer or something -- but I'm not going to go search for those.

Gone2thedogs Old ass video but I'm going to give my two cents in. As a huge fan of the BBC Top Gear, I was estatic when they announced the American edition. They were as entertaining despite lacking the experience. But the big downfall was when they decided to end Season 1 (or was it later) putting Tanner's racing Ford Focus atop the factory car leaderboard. That was the moment I lost interest and went back to the good old original.
