Yep, it is a nice trailer for Yaks. But way too high at most boat launches IMHO. I use one weekly n getting wet up to my nuts or more to lift n push sucks. I should've looked around more when I decided to get a fishing kayak which weighs with gear at 300 lbs.

Otherwise, it's a great trailer, but haven't needed to change a wheel yet. I bet finding a wheel nut wrench won't be easily found. Also, your key lock on tongue cam lock sucks too. The lock fell apart 2nd time I used it. I added a longer hitch to get yak in water farther, n going to try a rope winch today 10Aug2018 actually. Thought I'd watch how others load heavy fishing Yaks. I am going to build my own trailer this winter n can't wait to use it. Pretty disappointing that a nice trailer like this one sucks at launch n loading. I have loaded boats all my life, n have a JetCraft 21' JFYI.

Nice! But how fast can you tow? Also, the most important feature I look for is security. When I'm out on the water I can't help but wonder who is stealing my trailer?

I carry my stick on outside of kayak, remember to stock a head lamp n extra battery's. Use (3) pole setups n your time will be much happier as a Yak owner. I am going to build a custom twin trailer n make it 12" off the ground, it'll be a great trailer IMHO. Lock all your gear up, some lake people are pos n think nothing of stealing gear from someone.

Thanks for the informative video. I was hoping to learn how far the trailer would stick out from the garage wall with the tires off. A side view with feedback of how many inches it sticks out would be my suggested improvement to this video. Looks like a great product.

I have a Jeep, and I am an avid paddler, I can lift all my kayaks on my roof, but it is a pain as well as tiresome. Also for a Jeep the wind noise and gas it takes to regularly carry a roof rack is ridiculous. Lastly I have fiver kayaks and my friend has one, my Jeep can only carry four. Not to mention I kayak with a lot of elderly people, they can paddle just fine for hours, but lifting something above one's head is a different matter.

Yep! Nothing like doing overhead presses at the end of the day with your yaks, and getting saltwater and sand all over your truck as it drips down. I'm definitely getting one of these!

In response to why not use the truck instead of the carrier ... The bed of the truck is too short for many kayaks. We've been loading ours on the top of the truck via racks. It is a chore to get two, 14-foot kayaks up there and tied down. After that, you need a beer or two; especially after being out kayaking all day. We're looking for something a lot easier to haul them.

..There are some kayaks that don't weigh <50lbs. Like the hobie fishing kayaks which start at ~65-70lbs up to the Pro Angler which is about 100lbs stripped down. I wouldn't want to lift a 100lb kayak onto the roof of my car.

I use my Yakima Rack and Roll (HumblePower $1755) for my wooden kayaks. Pricey ...but very well made

I have a compact car and I'm looking for a way to haul 2 recumbent tricycles. This looks like the ideal solution. The only issue is that it's a bit pricey. Thanks for posting this review.
