Thanks. That was my first video and I only had an old A-520 Canon with three minutes of video time.
So every three minutes I would have to stop and put the data on my computer to free up the camera storage then start again. Now I have a Ultra Pro X with 32 GB. LOL

On some jobs I go on they through a lot old parts away instead of trying to inventory them.

I have the same kayak and I'm in the process of mounting my trolling motor to the kayak and I ran into a problem. What size U-bolts are you using that go in between the rudder holder? Also what pipe size is the one you used to connect them. I'm a little confused because I done see how the u bolt can fit in between the two fins. Thank you

+SA Sportsman Since I hand made my bracket yours may have different measurements.Here is a link to a unlisted unedited video showing more on the mount itself and measurements. you may have to copy and paste it to your browser bar.
Maybe you could put one U bolt towards the back of the bracket and just use one bolt coming up in the narrow part of the rudder track. Three bolts should be plenty to hold it with the square spacer added.

Update: You can only tilt the trolling motor with the lift Mechanism but not lift it straight up.

thanks for the reply. one other question, what size or gauge aluminum did you use.

+hunter T Just under 1/8"" maybe 14 gauge. I do not know what grade it is. I heated the aluminum
before I tried to bend it. Crossed my fingers it wouldn't crack. A welder can tell you what grade to use.
It was just a scrap piece I had. If you do this use leather gloves aluminum sheet is very sharp.

+hunter T No not making any to sell. Just made it from scratch to see how much of this
build I could do myself from materials I already had. Also I would have to charge to much for the time
and material cost to make and sell them. you can buy a piece of aluminium and cut it with a jigsaw
and bend it on a vice to the shape you want. That is how I did it. Thanks for watching. Yak up n go fishing.
