FYI, I speaking with Ocean Kayak today I learned some news regarding the previous kits foot peg rail misalignment. OK is going to be making next week (they told me) the new PN: 07.3253.0000 (2013 version) Ocean Kayak Trident 13 Angler Rudder Kit. The ONLY difference is their rails now align with the new 2013 kayak without having to re-drill the holes on the kit's rails from the 2012 version. Re-drilling a few holes isn't bad, but there are 22 holes in the 2012 kit's rails, I'll probaly drill.

Finally got to try out my new rudder on my OK trident 13 in LaPorte IN. Amazing. What a difference it makes in paddling in windy conditions. Next on my wish list are outriggers so I can venture out onto Lake Michigan. First I need to find other kayak fisherman in the area.

Seems like the last strap eye causes a lot of friction and a two hole strap eye would improve the action of the rudder when retracting. Great video though. Must use for installation. Love my ocean kayak.

This kit costs between $280-$300 but I lucked out when a shop was closing and had this COMPLETE for only $70!

Also not everyone has a rivet gun...sef tapping screws can be easily sealed with permatex instead.

Was definitely a big help! The instructions could have used a few more pictures and my kit isn't exactly like this. My older Prowler needed some slight modifications to the cradle and my foot pegs and several other attachments had no holes/markers but a few approximations and I was just fine. This video is a must see for install though.
