Shakespeare makes the Ugly Stik Classic 4'9" 1pc part number SP110049 and it has a 8-20lb test rating $35. I use this with an Okuma Avenger ABF40 with 30lb braid and a 5" steel leader when trolling for bluefish. The baitfeeder option lets me set a lower drag on strike so the fish doesnt rip the rod out of the holder before I can reach it. My favorite 1pc inshore rods for yak fishing are spl110046, spl110048 and spl110050 rated at 2-6lb test but never have failed me even on 30" snook or 25" blues

i carry a pair of wire cutters or pliers to cut loop of hook then pull it out.

Get a hook out of your finger out at sea you said? You obviously haven't had a hook in your finger past the barb, i have and there aint no getting it out at sea

can you tell me the benefit of using the shorter rods? I use at least 6'6" if not 7' in case the fish goes in front of the boat or around.

0:05 your anchor trolley is a bit high up on the nose... I would put it down on the side so your trolley line doesnt get in your way when your sitting.

Great video! Just got my Prowler 13 (even the same color) not long ago, my first kayak. Great fishing kayak (only cought small breams so far), pretty fast and very stable. I realy liked you crate (I'm using a milk crate that is shorter and less effective). The cords for your rods are long enough? They seem a bit short. I'm finding that using a "spring" cord (like the cord of a telephone headset) is more comfortable. Tight lines!
