I feel you. However, we shouldn't feel impressed with the ADA products, but the creativity instead! If you can have a very creative and impressive aquascape, the hardware really doesn't matter. (ADA products does help out with the cleanness of the entire aquarium but not necessary!)

Very true, his products are mostly overpriced and stupid. But his best seller is the ADA tank; it has really good build quality and the seams are... well, seamless!

I'm grateful that he set the standard so high. Look at the countless copies of ADA products on the market that are half the price. They wouldn't exist without ADA. ADA is like Apple. They forced the smartphone revolution to happen, and set the bar very high. Now you can buy a kick ass smart phone for 1/5th the price of an iPhone, if that's your budget.
