it was not a planted tank. so light were much controlled and algae was not a headache

Thanks for the kind comment. Yeah if beauty is our goal, we can achieve it with fake plants.. But I have to admit that it won't match the real plants taking all facts into consideration.

They can survive.. I have kept them for a while.. But bigger tanks are advised for healthy discus keeping. And Biotope style scaping with plants those grow under higher temperatures. Also avoid black backgrounds in a discus tank

sir one more question. i have a tank of 70 litres capacity (RS electrical 380-A) and i am planning to add 2 discus fish with 6-8 black skirt tetras. can you please tell me whether discus fish can do well with plastic plants? or else i need real ones?

Yeah it is resin.. but it is bigger and costlier than what I bought for Rs 300

It is Resin. bought from ebay. It won't sink.. u ll have to glue it to a stone.

its 24 gallons approx..
good luck for ur purchase. try to get powder blue gourami. smaller and more peaceful.

How many gallons? I have a 20 long with 4 Serpae Tetras (3 males and 1 female), 3 Cory Cats (female, male, male), and 2 German Rams (male and female) and a few live plants and a few fake plants. I'm probably going to get a Clown Pleco soon, or a Dwarf Gourami. i love them both... It's a hard decision lol.
