Boring? No way!! New people are coming into the hobby all the time, these basic videos are just what they need. I wish there had been more of them when I first started keeping fish - Also, those of us who have been in the hobby a while need to be reminded. I hadn't thought about checking the expiration date of my master test kit and "shake it like it owes you $" ROFL

Great video! Very informative....I use the test strips weekly and if they show a problem then I retest with the master test kit...if it still shows an issue with the kit then I treat accordingly...also some people think just because they test one of their tanks all their tanks are fine....not the case .....they should test every tank individually....have a great day ;)

I was using the test strips, but found it hard for me to decipher the results. The test kits seem more accurate, though as you said you do have to shake bottles for required times, etc. Like you, if there are no changes to the tank I have learned when to change the water without testing. Good video for beginners.

Thank you for breaking down water changes. So many people crash thier tanks with too many water changes or not enough water changes. I completely agree with each tank is different and testing is essential.
