I'm just about to pickup a 125 myself & wasn't sure if it can be placed in my living room on 1st floor of my place?
I know you can't really place a 125 on 2nd floor without beefing up the beams etc.

I do know that can be placed in basement concrete slab with a question

Regular Plecos can get up to about a foot, but you have a dwarf Plecos so you'll be fine. Dwarfs only get to about 4 inches at most.

+Dylan Amesur You dont understand these fish cannot live under the same water conditions and stingrays need soft and fined sand otherwise they are just scrapping themselves. The fish a very cool but this guy doesnt realize they are not compatible especially that blue crayfish hes probably already shredded by the catfish. There are too many fish in this tank in order for all of these to be together you need atleast a 500 gallon and with how big these fish can get i believe a rtc needs 3000-5000 in order to just be decently happy.

I'm not hating you just have a horrible habitats for your fish first the stingray needs sand so it doesn't scrap itself and your stunting the armored catfishes growth and the red tail you need atleast a 300 gallon tank for it and that crayfish is fine but overall this tank is sht even my 175 gallon looks nicer and has better fish want a list: 2 crayfish 2 feather fin catfish 1 peacock eel 1 dinosaur bichir 4 black convicts 5 red tail sharks 2 giant Pleco 1 Oscar 1 jack Dempsey 4 clown loaches and 6 yellow labs. :)

The armored catfish has been terribly stunted. The pectoral fins are a dead give away of stunting. The Amazon Red tail is the only thing that should be in the 125 and that's only TEMPORARY!!! I've owned red tails. You need 1,000 gallons, not a puny little baby 125! You're abusing the animals by having them in too small of an enclosure. That red tails has the potential to reach 5 feet in length and live 50 plus years, but that won't be happening for that unfortunate catfish. Your fish have a TERRIBLE OWNER!

All your fish are gasping so I recommend adding more bubblers. The red tail is gonna out grow that tank, so be prepared to get him to a huge tank or rehome. The water quality is pretty poor, looks pretty dirty. Make sure to water change and gravel vac weekly. And you really need to have sand on the bottom for stingrays.

Stephen its a question of caring for the fish properly, they are after all living beings. Whats the difference between mistreating a dog and a fish? If someone put a video of a dog being mis-treated i'm sure people would have a lot to say about it. Just because they are fish doesn't mean they deserve less. Its more than just a hobby. He, and every fish keeper, has a duty of care to their pets. I would imagine by now that the Red Tailed Catfish is the only fish left in the tank as it will have ate the other fish. They can grow to 5 foot plus and have no place in home aquariums.

By the way snails don't kill fish, they can be beneficial as they are algae eaters. Its more likely that poor water quality is the culprit. 99% of all disease's in the aquarium are due to poor water quality.

Seems like everyone here is being a bit harsh. I agree that there is an odd mix of fish- but who are we to tell him how to enjoy the hobby. Fish in the wild face all sorts of adversity, so really what's the harm here? I really did not see such a struggle re: oxygen in the tank. Then again I know I have plenty of work to do on just about all of my tanks -including what I thought was seems a harmless snail bloom -that apparently is killing off my guppies at a rate of about one or two a day. Then again maybe the guppies are just dying of old age, and the snails (that came with a bunch of "FREE Amazon Sword plants) just happen to benefit from all the extra protein.

You have no idea what you're doing, you should stop everything right now, give it all to your LFS, and try a community tetra tank, maybe. You have no business keeping a red tail catfish, most people don't. You can't spell Convicts. All of your fish are gasping. Your crayfish is basically food especially when he needs to molt. The substrate is too rough for a stingray. You're in this for the attention because of all your big crazy, fish first of all what are you compensating for? And second you should just go buy an old Honda and pour all your money into that instead, at least you're not going to kill anything (except maybe yourself) and you can still be a douche.

Dude down below is right about everything. Crayfish is food, stingrays need sand, retail catfish get way too big for home tanks. Most real aquariums don't keep more than 2. Convicts was spelt wrong. Poor fish. I was literally cringing at this whole video. No I'm not being a troll. If you know anything about fish keeping you know this is wrong. You wouldn't keep your dog in a home filled with smoke. Why let fish suffer. I'm disappointed this came into my recommended

+gabe peterson of course there is, but then again there's mostly sand and mud in the amazon and stingrays strictly stick to those. Sure they might stumble over some gravel but at least they aren't living in it. Stingrays (especially young ones) can get sores and scratches on their bellies if kept long enough on gravel. But I know adult ones can be kept on smooth gravel just fine.

+Susan Field Well he clearly din't get a 1000 gallon tank and there are no update videos so all those fish are dead by now since that tank isn't big enough for HALF of those fish. and red tail catfish are too large for any aquarium and need a large pond or pool like set up. And even then that red tail catfish would've ate ALL those fish if it was placed in an aquarium that let it grow to its full potential.

+Susan Field Not all fish display pink in their fins during ammonia poisoning. The red tail catfish and stingray clearly have a hard time breathing and all the other fish are gasping for air at the top. You can see this if you aren't blind. And why in the hell would he shove all these fish in a 125 just so we can see them? I'm pretty sure we'd see it just fine in the 500 gallon tank they require. You can tell he doesn't know what he's doing because the ammonia levels are too high, he's putting a stingray too large for his tank on gravel, he's putting fish that will get eaten by the red tail catfish. And all of the aeration the fish are getting is from one weak airpump... I don't have nearly as much fish in my 120 and I put two double port powerful air pumps and I put a power head as well.

+mihajlo525 The Cat fish is not 5' yet is it. The fish are not suffering at this point. I am not lacking in intelligence and have kept fish of many types for many years. You however, evidently lack intelligence and empathy. You are quite good at insulting people though. Did it occur to you that he may have put this tank together simply for you to view the fish. You all just like beating up on people, is all ! There is no ammonia in that tank, else their fins would be displaying pink, which is quite common knowledge.

+Susan Field No joke, wtf are you doing defending this guy? No matter how you put it THIS TANK IS TOO DAMN SMALL. A red tail catfish gets 5ft (the length of the aquarium!) And the stingray gets wider than the aquarium width. Not to mention stingrays need SAND gravel scratches their bellies. As well all his fish are gasping for air clearly because his water's diluted in ammonia due to horrible care. And not to mention that red tail catfish will eat EVERYTHING in that tank if it was allowed to grow to its full potential. I highly doubt you've kept anything larger than tetras... because you lack the intelligence to see anything wrong with this...

Wow, the selection of fish in this tank is very different, your are going to have to make changes or the fish will do it for you very soon, i like the sting ray but it needs sand not gravel and that red tail cat is going to be a monster and the electric blue grey fish wont survive for long with all those cats in there, and where did that gold fish come from lol, good luck with your tank, talk to some people that have tanks or join a facebook page and learn about what you can put together, but than amazing tank for right now, only if they never grow up.

You have a pretty nice tank here. However I would kindly advise against your selection of tank mates, and Also the rocky substrate. Your most expensive and delicate pet is the motoro stingray. Everything in your tank should catter to your stingray. You have a pleco that potentially will begin to suck the slimcoat off of your ray, you also have aggressive bottom feeders like the cory cats, shark & synodontis catfish. The redtail catfish is a great choice, but not the others. My biggest worry is that beautiful blue crab. He will terrorize your stingray and kill him. Hey alone be will snap at all of your other least expensive pets. But no worries, your redtail catfish will grow big enough to swallow every fish in your tank in about 4-5 months . lol. Lastly I'd suggest getting a sandy substrate. Motoro stingrays are quite hardy but they would appreciate soft black water, which in contrast some of your South Americans would not appreciate so much.

People will fix things just don't be a rude jerk. Remember how silly we all were when we first started this game. These are living critters but remember we are living critters do. Sometimes bad decisions happen but people fix them. Be more positive with your suggestions people are more apt to take them you will always have somebody that grabs this for show and fun I will admit I myself do add a lot of fish that shouldn't get along but they do... until they don't. Wow... A lot of these comments are just harsh. Personally I like the Pleco species, but they tend to get really big if you don't get a specific type. The Blue Crayfish was different, I've never seen one before, I knew they existed. Catfish get really big as well, I tend to stick to Albino Cory Catfish since they stay little, they are docile, and a little social (most fish store employes always recommend buying a pair). In the future if you set up another tank, use Stress Zyme,

I never knew fish could show sadness. These are the unhappiest fish I've ever seen. They look like they're rotting in prison & wanted to ask you what they'd done wrong! I know you say they've been given away now- but what ever possessed you to collect such a huge menagerie? There's probably more in that 1 tank than the whole local sea-life center! It must have cost fortune- you got money to burn. It does kinda look like you'd planned some kind of Noah's arc for fish, forgetting they could swim.

I love your freshwater tank. One thing I suggest Is putting a Bubbler In your tank so there Is more oxygen In your tank. Most Bubblers at pet stores will have LEDS on them which would be cool and there pretty cheap at petsmart Or a local pet shop. And people stop hating on him for his tank set up or what fish he has In It. Some people do this stuff on purpose he didnt so leave him alone haters. But I love your tank set up.

No no, 1 will still be alive at least, the one that is the strongest or out survives the others. My God, those catfish get huge though and the sharks. And he has 2 fucking convicts in there. They can get very territorial. Plush a lot of on the same level. You MIGHT be able to have a crayfish and some danios that stayed on the surface, but now with 1/2 the fish being bottome fish.

Meh they do just fine in 70 - 80 degrees I wouldn't go any higher than that though I think they could handle it.

Stop commenting on how nice this tank and fish are. I can guarantee you that almost every fish in this aquarium was dead within 2 weeks of the setup of this tank. The only reason you see fish alive in this video is because they couldn't have been in this tank for more than a couple days at most. This person clearly had no idea about aquariums or fish and simply bought a tank threw a bunch of random ass fish into it and watched them all die. This looks to be a 300.00 lesson in fish comparability.

Dude, Koi are coldwater fish, and everything else you have are tropical fish. Also- Koi get 3 to 4 ft long, they need at LEAST 1000 gallons for a pair!

nice fish tank, I love the stingray but you got to learn to keep your tank balanced. I am going to get rid of a couple goldfishes from my tank. This might sound more horrible but I got 1 tiger oscar, 8 kois, which only 1 is big, 2 angel, 1 upsidedown catfish,2 plecos, and like 10 goldfishes. They are in a 100 gallon tank .-. but i keep it balanced like when my oscar gets a little aggressive i buy him those small goldfish and he's happy and doesn't bite my other fishes :D

Ok, where to start, it's a great tank, great fish and great that you have an interest, but as a fish lover, you gotta think about the fish, it's a mix that stresses out some of them, get more hiding places at least, caves or plants, change the gravel to sand, that poor stingray needs to be able to hide under it, and your pleco and ground feeders will be delighted, that gravel reminds me of my 7 yr old nephews 5 ltr tank with guppies in it, please, won't somebody think of the fish!! Awesome tank

Well I agree there are a number of mistakes with this tank, the title of the video shows that the owner has realized it was a bad move. There is no reason to rip him/her apart for a past mistake. I's sure there are plenty more tanks like this one and because this person was willing to post their mistake, hopefully less will ve started later.

This tank is disgusting and you are guilty of animal negligence for the combination of incompatible species and now dead fish. Animals that would have been alive are now dead because you were too lazy or cretinous to read if you had the tank to keep them alive in.

nah the red tail catfish only ate the feeding goldfish i throw in, it would eat the others if it gets hungry enough, but alot of the fishes died from the two convicts you see in the vids, those two convicts attacked anything the comes near them, because of them protecting their babies, and my " catfish" havent ate anything else since, it got very sick, had some kind of flesh eating disease, and I revived him and he stayed the same size since. weird...

nice stock of fish! but you need sand for the stingray or at least finer grained, natural looking gravel. That and the goldfish kinda takes away from the beauty of the tank.
