HOW TO: Aquaponics System (DIY INDOORS SETUP) | TonyTanks

As a long time fish keeper, the idea of using fish waste to grow something always fascinated me and one day I got the idea of building an aquaponics system that could easily be placed indoors and look good. I decided to use goldfish because of the amount of waste they produce which will be an excellent nutrient source for the plants I will be growing. For the start of this project I have decided to use Golden Pothos for 3 reasons. First because I haven't found a place where I can place this setup that will receive good sunlight during the day and Golden Pothos is an excellent plant for low light conditions, second because in general its an amazing plant to use as an aquarium filter and will effectively do its purpose of cleaning the goldfish waste, and third because it is an easy plant to maintain. The medium I am using for the plants is Hydroton or clay pebbles which provides excellent aeration, is eco-friendly, reusable and easy to use. If various people are interested in seeing a step by step process with more specific instructions on the building of this tank I will gladly do a another video showing this more clearly. I hope you enjoy this video, leave a LIKE and of course subscribe for more! :) Leave any questions you may have in the comment section and I will gladly answer your concerns! HAPPY aquascaping! While the outside of the fish stops, the intestines keeps growing, until there is not enough space left. The fish dies a painful dead.
I hope you decide wisely. And make a better tank for them.
