How are these guys doing? I picked up a couple last week and didn't do enough research into the seller so the poor things are as thin as a stick. I've gotten them to eat a few bloodworms, but one is still refusing. I'm trying hatched brine shrimp tonight, but may go and pick up some small shrimp if I have to!

Thank you so much for the advice, that's great! I live on the coast, so getting fresh seafood is just a short walk away. Luckily my bbs started hatching a few at a time and they seem to have taken to eating those, they are just so small even for a young fish (these were in the freezer from goldfish fry season and I'm so happy that they even hatched).

Mine are doing good, still searching continuously for Malaysian trumpet snails! If you can get your hand on fresh clam...crack the shell open and they should be happy with that, mine love it. Also if you can't find small snails you can get those mystery snails sold at most fish store and crack the shell open (the puffers won't be able to because of there size)

I'm about to place an order for 8 of these guys & was worried about keeping them in the same tank with shrimp. I was afraid they would eat them. I see they eat brine shrimp so I just figured they would eat all types until I seen your video... Have you had any issues, and what shrimp would you suggest for a beginner to get? Thanks

Hey, a few months later they went after the shrimp! If you can keep them well feed with snails and frozen blood worms than they won't bother the shrimp, however if you can't keep up with their appetite then shrimp are not a good tank mate! But on the lines of beginner shrimp...ghost shrimp are the easiest I kept hands down, then bamboo shrimp, but they are very hard to find, and next red cherry shrimp

As of late no because my tank has so many trumpet snails...I could imagine that when the eat most of the snails the shrimp will come into view...but by then I'll separate them

Very cute fish. Dwarfs are one of the few commonly traded puffers that I've not kept. Maybe I'll set up a tank for some in the near future. I'm strongly considering getting a Fahaka puffer soon.

DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS Yeah, in some cases they can reach about 20 inches in length but that's rare in aquariums, usually they max out around 15" or so. My brother once had a full grown one for a few years and it was an extremely impressive and beautiful fish.

Thank You, yes I know at one point I will have to separate them! Hopefully I do have a pair...so far neither are showing any signs of being a male but their still young so we will see as they mature

This footage was excellent DW he's an awesome looking fish indeed ... I sold my tropheus over the weekend and then found a batch of eggs in the tank haha typical isn't it most of them were white so I got 5 that were yellow and I've put them in a tumbler

Thank You! So far its just them and 3 guppies. Originally I had them in my 55g planted tank but they were nipping at my hillstream loach, so If you ever get these make sure you keep them with fast moving fish!

Great looking puffers, I've been debating on adding them to my cherry shrimp tank, but I've been worried they would go after the cherry shrimp. Have you noticed any missing shrimp since adding them?

Thank You, so far no problems with the shrimp...I still count 8 the original number but I think only because this tank has so many snails...if they ever run out of snails I'm sure they will target the shrimp.

I enjoy puffers as well! Kept them in a 5g nano aquarium with neon tetras and white cloud minnows. Down fall to pea puffers (with my experience) is that they can be little fin nipping assholes but other than that there great

Thank You, yes they can just watch out for slow moving fish...they started off in my 55g...but I noticed my hillstream loach had a nipped fin and no one else in the tank was capable of doing that but these puffers. You know hillstreams behave similar to plecos so they stay in one spot motion less...with these puffers that's just a chance for a small snack

They can with other fish, but they must not have long fins. And olsa must be a fast swimmer. The rasbora Brigitte or galaxy rasbora are cool fish with it.
