This could be a fairly frequently asked question. But does having a UV bulb in the same chamber as the bio-balls not kill off any any beneficial bacteria as well? Or is there an internal tube that shields the bio-balls?

Is there any information on how to install the UltraKlean Filter. I can't seem to find any anywhere. It seems like it would be a good fit for my pond. I have a 2600 gal. pond with a biofalls filter set up but I'm not happy with the water quality. I'd like to use this along side the biofalls filter system, but I would like to know how to retro fit it into the system I'm using. I understand how the filter works but not sure if this is something i can bury up to the top of the canister to hide the bulk of the filter or not. Also how does the intake work? Do I have and intake pipe just hanging out in the pond or should this be somewhere else. Should it be in the skimmer box that my current pump is in. Right now i have a skimmer box with a 3100 gal/hr pump flowing through a 2" flexible pvc pipe up approximately 7' of height to a a biofalls filter. I'd love to add this in somewhere but how or where would i add it? Please advise. I like the product but need help. Thanks

So if I have a 1500-2000 gallon pond, with a skimmer/waterfall biofilet - where would be the best place to install a Ultraclean 2000

Are you backwashing with pond water and dumping it outside the pond?  Isn't that going to lower your pond level quite a bit?  I love the idea of not opening the canister to clean the filter though.
