love the looks of your pond however I don't like what it does to the environment. maybe it is bpa-free however creatures live in soil okay if you're raising goldfish however I wouldn't eat any fish out of a pond. creatures live in the soil of the pond. bisphenol-a causes sterile... hurting the ecosystem animals as well as humans... I say this because I don't want others to make the mistake that I see here sorry

you said pvc or did you mean 45 mil liner

We have natural ponds at our wildlife habitat. I'd love to build one with an island. No one will say these liners are chemical free. Landscape fabric breaks down over the years, despite gravel covering it. With turtle's, fish, Birds, crawdads and wildlife we use all organic methods. Do you have the facts on these material's?:). We have clay soil and we don't lose water quickly, but for the heat and wind. I know a liner does hold water better, I'd love to know your thoughts and how long the products hold up. Please advise client's to use smooth pebbles and rock's that are too big for turtle's to swallow. As a landscape business you may wish to list your material's. Both plant and hardscape:). Do you use well aged rock and bolders to avoid the leaching of lime and other things? Another hazard with water quality for aquatic life and fowl etc.. Just wish to help other's avoid the pitfalls of water quality. One needs to add fresh water and aerate etc. Including overhead sprayers. Misters and rainbirds will do in a pinch. Shoot them up high, to collect oxygen in every droplet as they fall down into the water:). Be sure if using a pond dye, that it's a type safe for all aquatics. Avoid chemicals at all cost! Do not fertilize or use chemicals on, in or near the pond. As run off will travel to the soil and water. Never wear sunscreen on body parts that will enter the water. It poisons the fish and turtle's. You can buy non toxic sunscreens on line and in some eco friendly shop's:). Best wishes to all. Ponds are fabuous!! Also considered an "Attractive Nuisance" as a risk for drowning and slip injuries. If you can't fence your property, you must up your insurance and post "No Trespass" signs all around your property. Check with local authorities, as most area's require a permit as well as a prior check for underground power line's and water pipes. Who needs a costly vacation when you can build a pond and have the escape and beauty in your own yard?:) Go for it!!! ♡=^..^=♡
