Diy Urn Fountain Garden Pond This is the fountain that I helped my friend build over memorial day weekend at his house. We started with a hole that would hold the 40gal tube. Then we buried it and made a metal support top for it to hold the river pebbles and covered it with gutter guard and wire tied it down. Then we cut out the places for the pots to go and put blocks in the tube to hold them. We had to add bulk heads to the pots and plumb in hoses to the pump. Inside the pots put in stand pipes just below the water surface to make the water act like a fountain at the top. We hooked every thing up and gave it a test run it worked great. Then we stacked the rock around the tube part and filled in the center with river pebbles. Then we added the plant on the rock at the side. Turned it on and cleaned up our mess. Worked great and I think it looks good!! The pump used was a 540 GPH pump with a filter sponge on it and a water splitter T. The small vase had the inside pipe cut lower because of the lower head pressure It wanted to shoot the water higher lowering the pipe helped make them more even. The sump was just a 40 gal. water trough. Sorry no fish Day 1 was used to roughly lay it out and gather supplies. Day 2 we put everything together. Day 3 we BBQ-ed and enjoyed. Great weekend project!! rated Easy but a little back breaking Special shout out to DiyFishKeepers.com Additional tags: Aquatic aquatics tropical fish Diy do it yourself cheap substrate aquarium how to set up plec pleco Plecosusmus Corydoras Cory Cat Livebearer Platys catfish freshwater build sump tank filtration best homemade home made construction of a community species algae eater Overflow modification modifications bulkhead wet and dry filter wet/dry wetdry easy effective cheap aquarium aqaurium aqarium surface area bactera ammonia nitrite nitrate aqua one eheim hagen aqueon vissa therm display tank gallons per hour gph lph fish tank Gravel flow regulator tap plumbing pressure valve shoutout competition entry planted lighting system water changes gravel cleaner hard water air pump pump water pump filter pumps how to aquarium fish tank wet/dry cheap easy lighting stand aquarium stand overflow pvc water changes canister filter MrRvbrown Channel Freshwater aquarium Fishkeeping Diy Fishkeeper sump/refugium refugium Plecostomus Algae Eater zucchini bristle nose pleco sucker fish bushynose plecostomus fry babies baby t8 florescent light t5 light electrical aeration plants driftwood bogwood plastic decoration mechanical biological cycle cycling glass tank heater vinegar baking soda cleaning clean project rock wood stand store bought DIY test tools video videos fishkeepers water aqua plan plans planning design designing build building new flow flowing control controls enthusiast veggie clip Albino and Common Bristlenose Plecostomus Pleco Catfish Ancistrus dolichopterus detail assemble assembly set up setup setups newbe beginners beginner help red eared slider hikari food freshwatertank green blue background backgrounds Firedupfish tanks, fired up fish tank, Diy Fishkeeper rainbow fish, whiptail catfish, cory, dirt tank, planted tank, dirted plant tank Celebes rainbowfish (Marosatherina ladigesi) Micro Sword (Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis) plant Dwarf Baby tears, HC, water sprite, algae, urn, fountain, garden, pond, weekend project, pot, vase, water feature,
You've GOT to do another one. Isn't your place needing a new fountain somewhere in the backyard, perhaps? (hint hint.) ;) (Would love to see you post a complete video, from beginning to end, step-by-step on constructing one of these bad boys.) I click on this video daily and just stare at it.....and imagine it in my own backyard. Mesmerizing. ;)
1) How do you make the smaller fountain water twirl around in circles like that?
2) Where did you purchase your 540 GPH pump? Seems like Home depot & Lowe's only carry the smaller GPH pumps.
