I am working on digging a wading pool for my large dog. I don't want to have to use a pump to keep the water clean so am hoping to do something similar to what you have done here in this video but add sand and and pebbles to the bottom so the water can drain out into the ground beneath. Filling it daily will not be a problem. Hoping it works!

The only problem with that is the debris or dirt that remains in the pond. You might be better off building a small pond and purchasing a pump that attaches to a garden hose that can be used to drain the pond when dirty and at the same time watering your yard.
