I have a question. When you say the property is hooked up to flood irrigation, you are obviously referring to the water thing emitting the water. But where does the water come from ? Is it well water ? Or City water ?

Bamboo is not a good idea the roots will punch through the liner needs to be grown in big pots so it don't spread

Yeah, I actualy thought about this too. Bamboo can be very invasive. And it will grow twoards the water.

There are non invasive Bamboo he can plant, Black Bamboo (zone 6 - 10), Sunset Glow (Zone 7 - 9). there are others too.

This is one of the things I was wishing for from your channel. I always see your amazing pond in your backyard, but I would have loved to have seen the process. Please keep us caught up in the process of the pond, and possibly transforming that empty space with fruit trees and other vegetation. I would love to see and hear the reasoning for picking certain plants near and in the pond to create a microclimate. Thank you for your hard work making these videos Jake, please keep us updated. Im thinking of doing this in the future so theres honestly no one else I would trust more to learn about ponds and gardening than you and shamus.
