The pump in this video is an Aquascape AquaSurge 2000. Its maximum flow rate is 2000 gph. And the maximum flow rate at 5’ of total dynamic head (pipe run + elevation change) is 1850 gallons per hour.

Why cant I just dig the hole and then built it with cement and rocks and stuff like a wall or sth like that?

I have never built a pond using a liner. Since 1982 I have designed & built well over 2000 ponds & waterfalls using rebar and concrete, sealing the concrete with nontoxic Thoroseal.In the past 30 years I've replaced 30 or 40 leaky rubber liner ponds with concrete. The leaks were caused by either, rats, mice, gophers, chipmunks, ground squirrels, stretched liner from heavy boulders, tree roots piercing underlayment & liner, even the roots of plants like philodendrons & bamboo. designaponddotcom

use bath tube or sink water. holes water can be unsafe. and use a 5 gallon bucket.

This would interest me too and would it be available for shipping to Australia? I am hooked with this hobby but have had some surprises along the way. Many I did not see coming but I did learn and now enjoy it much more, stay home is no problem, it,s safe and always something to add to or do. Very good instructions from you.
