looks great this pond. I am very impressed with the first finished result. Rocking the whole liner is something you don't see very often in the UK. But boy it looks the business when done right. I think in the UK we often forget about making something look good in favour of maintenance, cost or other considerations. Also I would imagine not keeping fish helps enormously with algae. Huge amount of valuable information by the way in your videos. Obviously a lot of effort is going in. I hope your channel does well.

Totally able to keep fish, as their is a freshwater reef built in front of the negative edge. Yes depending on the flow and size of the fish it is possible they will flow down the waterfall, but this can be said for any pond with mechanical mechanism for moving water, filter pumps or bottom drains, in fact the negative edge is some times better as the area of suction is increased.

Is it possible to keep fish in a system like this or do they tend to migrate and end up stranded on the water fall section.

Lee Calladine it's amazing on how good these systems work, lot of my clients with the collect system have virtually no maintenance. The whole pond becomes a active filter so you only need to think about mechanical filtration. Proper pond skimmers and in take bays solve this problem, most of the mechanical waste in this negative edge pond is swept away from the pond so it's very low maintenance.

jack s no need for skimmer but sometimes a skimmer is way easier one to install and easy to quickly clean.
