How to build a garden fish pond (update)

A big thanks to all the people who have viewed and commented on my video 'how to build a garden pond' I wasnt expecting no where near that amount of view :) last week I got a notification that my video was the most viewed in that month and stood at number one in there search...blown away :) Anyhow..since the build there has been a few changed that I think I shuould mention. Firstly filtration.. the water was still slightly green so I decided to upgrade the pump and filtration. pump from 5000 l/h to 18000 l/h filter box from 11000 I/h to 33000 I/h UV clarifier from 8 watt to 30 watt. I have also heightened my water fall too. The pressurized system that I originally had was a bugger to clean properly and the UV wasnt enough to kill off the algae, but now the water is so clear that you would swear you could drink it. The picture in this video are a bit deceiving and the pond looks very shallow, however its 750mm deep, thats how clear it is now. I also binned the pressure filter idea for gravity feed and this has turned out to be very simple and quick to clean. I have also fitted a water splitter from the pump so that I can control the amount of water going through the filter and the waterfall independantly, even to the point of turning the waterfall off without it effecting the filtration. :) the last part of the pond to be done is the bottom and the lighting. the plan is to have the bottom (once cleaned) filled with smooth black quartz and then have some blue underwater lights fitted. will hopefully look really nice when in the garden during the evening.. :) I have also added so plants to attract insects and some bird feeder, one sits directly over the pond and the birds will no doubt spill some seeds into the pond which the fish can eat, also shopping for more fish. hopefully in the coming months I will post some pictures and video clips of the finished pond at night :)
