Hi James, that's a great looking pond! Just in the process of planning one myself, I like what you have done with the top row of bricks on the inside to hide the liner. I'm wondering how you find this performs, are there issues with the water soaking into the bricks and mortar and/or problems caused if it freezes in the winter? Thanks

Sad times, though please to hear you kept hold of the fish. Did you do anything out of the ordinary for this top row of bricks/mortar i.e. some kind of sealant/waterproofer?

richienorthcott Hi.. Thanks, sadly I have moved house and had to give up the pond, still have my fish tho :-)
I never experienced and issues with the top layer.. I guess it was worth the gamble as id just repair it if it got damaged by the frost!

Its plastic, long story but it worked great and super cheap!

Hi... Thats fantastic, the only thing i did wrong was building the weong size pipe work into the brickwork. Get some nice 2" pipe in there :-)
