How do you seam the corners to make it water proof? I have a 400gal metal bin that I used silicone in the corners and I can't get it to stay sealed. I was thinking that a pond liner is the only way."I'm a beginner" but I am trying. The frame has bars 10" by 1.5' with sheet metal on the inner face. I bolted it all together and used much silicone.As the water fills up,it pushes out a little and stretches the silicone just enough to make water seep out. I'm sick of a floor filled with water. The edge of the pond is best to keep level to make a nice job when the water is added. Ponds always look better full and with no liner showing. The level of any areas beneath the water line is best to keep as random as possible if you are looking for a natural looking pond! Im currently building an inside pond at the moment ready for the winter!

ight! thanks though. Any tips for making / building a pond? we have the hole dug, but we are not sure about the leveling , or if it is even an issue. the first time the pond was in (before we took it out) the water was always on one side of the pond and made it look strange! any tips?

Looks good on the square shaped application, but looks like a lot of extra work on any other shape. Splitting the liner on the top does not appeal to me.

i am in the process of making a pond myself its approximatly 13 ft length and 12 ft wide and 5ft deep.....this stuff will come in handy because of the rough edges ....i will be now sittin here going through all this proffesional stuff to do it properly lol
