My parents had a vanilla lobster, one day it just disappears and like 3 years later to this no one in my family knows what happened to it. It was a completely closed tank and everything. I remember checking the air ducts to see if maybe it crawled into them, but nope, still haven't found it. They've since moved houses, I always wonder if that thing is still alive or what the hell ever happened to it.

I dont know why this is a rare species. Its numerous in my country. I had this as a pet and when It molted in its cave, and other residents took advantage and it ended up as a soft meal for the entire aquarium! It was a feeding frenzy! Crabs, fish, turtles, snails, toads and other lobsters too took advantage!
