Sound files are in "\Program Files (x86)\Data\".

DRS Explorer was, supposedly, capable of extracting the sounds but it won't install/run on 64-bit systems and the GUI doesn't work. Fortunately, the included "drsbuild.exe" binary worked.

So, I took the liberty of command line-extracting the sounds in an 32-bit Windows XP VM and hosting them for everyone, so no one ever has to do what I did.

Im trying to find the sound but cant for the life of me find it in the folders anywhere. It has all the scenario and campain and taunt sounds but i cant find any villager creation sounds or the sounds for when you build a house/barracks etc? Any ideas?

Oh I see, it's AOE2, the newer one. Well this can't be hard, just sort the files by size. This one's quite short so must be somewhere at the top (if sorted in ascending order). Select all files and add them to Winamp playlist. Start and leave it and wait till you hear what you're looking for.

All the other files ('taunts' and voiceovers in scenarios are .mp3 files, I just don't really feel like training through 757 files to find the one I want.
